Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), JRF Position Recruitment 2021 invites application for the post of Junior Research Fellow.
Name of Project – Investigating the GDSL lipase/esterase family to understand the mechanism and the role of polysaccharide O-acetylation in plants for bioenergy application (DST – SERB Project No.- SRG/2020/000861).

Qualification
The candidate should be MSc / MTech in life Science / biotechnology/ Agricultural biotechnology.
The candidate must be qualified any national level JRF eligibility test such as NET, GATE, etc.
Desirable Qualification
The Candidate should have practical knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry techniques are necessary.
Preference given to candidate who has one year research experience of working on plant system.
The Candidate should be hardworking and team player with interpersonal skills.
Age Limit – 28 years or below.

Duration of the Project Work – Initially the candidates hired for one year and may be extended to upto maximum two years.
Fellowship pay scale – Rs. 35,960/- per month

About (RCB) Regional Centre of Biotechnology
The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an government organization located at Faridabad, Haryana, India. It is established when government of india and UNESCO signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in 14 July 2006. It is affiliated by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). The main objective of RCB is teaching, research and training in the field of biotechnology. This organization also work with some other reputed organization in the field of research to contribute some knowledge. There are many different research areas, where RCB (Regional Centre of Biotechnology) conduct research like Molecular biology, Cellular biology, Biomedical Sciences (BMS), Bioengineering, Instrumentation, Biochemistry, Structural biology, Biophysics, Climate science, Agriculture Sciences, Environmental Sciences etc. Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) also have many academic programmes, training like Research fellows, Masters programme, Master-Phd integrated programmes and Phd programmes. They also recruit Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) twice a year. They also conduct short term training programmes like Project work or dissertation work for short periods like 6 months or one year. RCB has many facilities which enhance or boost research work like it has Confocal Microscopy, Fluorescence, high resolution optical imaging, Protein purification systems, biophysical techniques which includes isothermal titration calorimetry, differential scanning calorimetry, circular dichroism (CD), NMR, FTIR, SPR, Dynamic Light Scattering, it also have advance structural biology techniques like Crystallization robotics, X-ray diffraction, proteomics animal tissue culture, plant tissue culture and many more facilities available in the RCB. Indian Biological Data Centre (IBDC) first launch here on RCB (Regional Centre for biotechnology) by department of biotechnology.
